Here is the perfect 5 day itinerary to make the most of your Mayan Train adventure.

Cancun

Cancun, located on the northeastern coast of Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, was initially a small fishing village. In the 1970s it was transformed into a tourism hotspot. If you exit customs before 830AM you might be able to catch the 9AM train to Valladolid.

If not, book a hotel for the night and enjoy all of the amazing beaches, great restaurants and vibrant nightlife that Cancun has to offer. Set the tone for the rest of the trip!
